Love that architecture.
One of the buildings in Rockefeller Center here in New York is called “the British Empire building.” Time flies like all get-out.
The Center was completed in 1932, a cynosure of Art Deco design. Even Gertrude Stein called it beautiful.

High Art Deco buildings are just wonderful, Denis.
It’s a pity that one of the conditions of holding Exhibitions (with a capital E – most of them required Acts of Parliament to enable them) was that the buildings were only to be temporary. There’s just one of The Empire Exhibition buildings left in Bellahouston Park now, a minor one at that, the Palace of Arts.
