I have posted photos of Dysart harbour before.
The harbour from the edge of Ravenscraig Park in April 2021.
The main building is the former Harbour Master’s house. St Serf’s Tower and the red-tiled roofs of the white painted houses of Pan Ha’ lie behind.

Stitch of two photos to get the whole rainbow in. It’s actually a double rainbow.

Two more ships and an old favourite.
This is the cruise ship M S Rotterdam heading out of the River Forth last week en route to Invergordon! Apparently 100,000 cruise passengers dock at Invergordon every year, which is somewhat baffling. One of my work colleagues comes from Invergordon (as often as possible.)

This is the Rotterdam in the Netherlands six years ago (photo from Wikipedia.)

Just off Dysart is the rather rakish from of the cargo ship M S Troms Capella. She’s been hanging around for well over a week.

Here’s our old friend Solitaire from the same vantage point above Dysart harbour that I photographed the Troms Capella.

Behind her stern that’s North Berwick Law on the opposite shore.

It’s a while since I’ve posted any photos of Kirkcaldy and its environs.
Just up the coast and originally a separate village but now swallowed up by greater Kirkcaldy is Dysart.
It has a nice wee harbour which the picture below does not show completely. The former Harbour Master’s House on the quayside is now a bistro.

Dysart’s main industry used to be mining. This is the winding gear of the Barony* Coal Mine as was.

There are some striking pan-tiled roof houses in Dysart. This part of the village is known as Pan Ha’.

The tower in the background is called St Serf’s Tower.

A couple more pictures of Dysart are on my flickr.
*Edited to add. This may actually have been the Frances Colliery. I was confusing it with something else called the Barony.

A while back I mentioned the Coptic Church in Kirkcaldy.
It’s in Links Street, in a part of the burgh known as Linktown, which used to be a separate entity but in 1876 was amalgamated into the Lang Toun along with three other burghs and, subsequently, Dysart.
The building is now known as St Mark’s. I suppose it was previously a Church of Scotland kirk of some description.

Further along Links Street are some newly built houses on one of which is a mural.
There is also an explanatory panel whose photo I have expanded to make it readable.

Still on Links Street, but nearer Kirkcaldy proper, is another church which has had its usage changed. It’s now a play centre for young children; birthday parties and such.
