Sad to hear that Chris Cross, bass guitarist with 1980s synthesiser band Ultravox, has died.
In 1982 this was Ultravox’s third biggest hit up to that point.
Ultravox: Reap the Wild Wind
Christopher Thomas Allen (Chris Cross,) 14/7 1952 – 25 /3/2024. So it goes.

Thanks for that video clip. I never saw the band live but have a few of their albums. They were especially big in Japan, especially after a popular TV commercial featured the opening riff of “New Europeans”.
The synthesizer-pop era is mostly a blank in my mind. The only tracks that stand out are a couple of Eurythmic hits. It’s a sound that I forgot until I began re-watching movies of that era, and wincing at the synthesizer soundtracks.

Janusz,
I’m not too keen on synthesiser music myself. Some of it, Vienna, Are Friends Electric? was striking though.
