More fruits of our visit to the city of Liverpool thirteen months ago.
These buildings testify to the wealth generated by Liverpool’s status as a port.
Perhaps Liverpool’s most iconic piece of architecture, the Liver Building:-
Liver Building from tour bus:-
From below. I see from this it’s actually the Royal Liver Building:-
Another fine building in Liverpool. Photo taken through tour bus window. Castle Building:-
Cunard Building:-
Another one reflecting Liverpool’s shipping heritage. White Star Line Building:-
From the tour bus I couldn’t fit the next one in fully. Port Authority Building:-

What fine old buildings. You could never build such works of art today, too expensive and a lack of skilled workers, I believe. A few of those buildings remind me of the Lit Brothers building on Market St. in Philadelphia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lit_Brothers). Unfortunately, to add their touch to a classic building, current owners have installed a huge moving billboard and atrocious lighting. After they did that, I used to close my eyes when I passed it!!

Joan,
That’s a fine building. What a pity they’ve ruined it.
