Going south last September we passed through the town of Ashbourne in Derbyshire and as a result happened upon its War Memorial, a set of gates under an archway plus a low wall:-
Great War Names respectively, above, to left and right of arch:-
Second World War names are displayed on the extremities of the walls:-
A memorial to those who served is located in a Memorial Garden to rear of the War Memorial:-

On the way down south in the summer we stopped off in Buxton, Derbyshire, a former spa town. (Well, I think the spa is still there.)
It’s a nice wee place. Perhaps not so wee.
And I found one deco building; a Co-op in the main street in the lower part of the town. (We only found the upper part of the town by accident by following a sign to a second-hand bookshop. It’s ten or so minutes walk away from the lower town.)
View of detailing on roof line. The windows’ eyes have been poked out. Obviously built in 1934, bang in the deco period:-
Showing detailing on “gable” end:-
