On the Sons’ home page, I spotted the building featured below.
It’s in a photo of the ladies’ team’s game at Mountblow, Dalmuir, (which sadly the Daughters of the Rock lost,) and shows in the background the football pavilion at Mountblow which has obviously been given a much needed make-over since these pictures were taken (not to mention these.)
The pavilion dates from 1937 and I’ve seen it many a time when passing the sports ground on a train but had never photographed it myself.
Now I won’t have to.

Glasgow University’s Reading Room is on University Avenue, Glasgow:-
It is circular in shape but it’s really only the entrance doors and facade which look Deco. The rest is more like a post-war 1950s/60s building:-

Curved gable end to Galbraith’s Miller Road facade. Ruined windows, though:-

The Smokehouse, Alloway Place. Curved windows with rule of three, white rendering, flat roof. The upper windows may be original Critall ones. (Or perhaps not, what with their black surround.):-

The windows in the one below are Deco, as are the rooftop projections. The middle portion has an eastern feel though. Overall it’s an odd one. It’s situated on the A 719 where it merges with Main Street.

Frontage:-

Art Deco cinema in Ayr. Statue of Robert Burns to right. Memorial to Colonial Wars to left.

Apparently this is the first true Odeon to be built in Scotland. Sadly as the following two photos show it is now somewhat in need of care and attention.

In November 2019 we visited Perth Academy to attend its annual Remembrance Service.
Perth Academy’s history goes back to 1696 (or 1542 depending on which part of the text you read in the link above.)
The present building has Art Deco styling – not surprising as work started on it in 1930 and the school moved in in 1932.
Courtyard:-

The clock tower is a prominent feature of the Academy building and can be seen from many parts of the city:-

The yellow painting of the windows accentuates the horizontals and verticals, as does the chimney tower:-

Deco style evident in doors, windows and the columns going off to the right:-

Chimney tower and wing of building:-
