Scotland’s Art Deco Heritage 26: Moffat
Posted in Architecture, Art Deco, Trips at 22:06 on 14 April 2013
On our trip we went down south but stopped for a break at Moffat in Dumfries and Galloway.
Down a side street and turning right I found this. Built in 1932, squarely in the Art Deco era.
On the main street as you leave heading west/south is what looks like a former garage which has Art Deco features in the stepping on the roofline.
Moffat’s most famous landmark, though, is this statue of a ram – due to the importance of sheep farming in the area.
