These were in the corridor of the Carron to Mumbai Restaurant, Stonehaven. There was a railway theme.
East Indian Railway poster for Calcutta:-
Calcutta showing Metro sign:-
Despite the date, 1916, this Indian Motocycle poster has an Art Deco background:-
This one’s more film noir, though:-

On our visit to the Carron to Mumbai Restaurant We were seated in a corner but we soon discovered it was near to the main entrance. At a break I took the opportunity to photograph the porch.

On the way down from Peterhead we made our way to the revamped Carron Restaurant, Stonehaven, now trading as an Indian Restaurant under the name Carron to Mumbai.
We came in through the Evan Street entrance (which is photographed in this post) through a bar area.
Bar area looking back towards Evan Street:-
We then walked down a corridor lined with Art Deco posters. After surrendering our coats to be hung up we entered the restaurant proper.
The glazing is superb – and still original!:-
Ceiling and view down to far right wall:-
Mirror (Picasso mirror?) on near wall:-
Main bar and Art Deco clock:-
Floor centrepiece:-
Internal door (to toilet):-
Wall tiles inside toilet:-
Wall tiles and towel rail:-
View from toilet back to mirror wall:-
What a visual experience! The food was very good as well. If you’re ever in Stonehaven you must take this in.

Apart from the Carron Restaurant – see previous post – Stonehaven, via the medium of the Carron Fish Bar, formerly The Haven, is the birthplace of that Scottish culinary delicacy, the deep fried Mars Bar.

I have featured the Carron Restuarant, Stoneheaven twice before, here and here. At the time these photos were taken the restaurant was shu but it seems it has now reopened, purveying Indian food, trading under the name Carron to Mumbai.
This photo is of the side window on the alley at the left hand side of the imposing frontage of the Restaurant
The canopy of that imposing entrance facing Cameron Street has this side window on to the alley but through it you can see the Art Deco glazing on the canopy itself:-
Art Deco Interior, Carron Restaurant, Stonehaven:-
As I recall this Art Deco mosaic vestibule floor was at the rear entrance to the Carron Restaurant, in Evan Street.

Well I hadn’t photographed it before but I had featured it here. See also my comments of two posts ago.
These are my photos though. Main entrance and stairs:-
Garden detail. Great deco styling:-
The gateway is superb:-
The Art Deco styling extends to the fencing at the lane to the side:-
Again note the fencing here and on the balcony, plus the lovely circular sweep of the canopy and windows which have very stylish glazing:-

After the Bon Accord Baths I thought I’d stay up north for the latest in this series.
This is an amazing sight. The cafe apparently fell into disrepair in the 1960s but has obviously been updated. I remember seeing an item on the TV once many years back about an Art Deco cafe in Stonehaven that had fallen into disrepair. I suppose this must have been it. What a great job they’ve done.
The street entrance looks like this.
Edited, 2//9/20, to add; the links below mostly longer work.

The restaurant’s home page is here.
They claim to have a mirror that may be a work by Picasso! I believe it’s shown in this photo.

The foyer looks like this.

The fanlight parts of the windows are very deco.

The chairs are also in keeping with the Art Deco feel.
What a fantastic place to go and have a meal.
