Interzone 252

This issue arrived during the past week. It contains my review of The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North. The cover displayed in Interzone (and shown right) is a different one from the review copy I read.

In the issue too is an interview of and a story by member of the Glasgow SF Writers’ Circle (and also my good mate) Neil Williamson.

Neil’s novel The Moon King (left) has also recently been published. I bought my copy at Eastercon. It’s high on my tbr pile.

Speaking of sci-fi, I just caved in and bought a vintage copy of Fantasy and Science Fiction (December 1967). Besides stories by Asimov and J.G. Ballard, David Redd’s “Sundown” appears in this issue. Not that the story is so hot. It’s a nostalgia thing with me. I used to numbnitize my sensory strunods with lakes of sci-fi during my first years of teaching school, and Redd’s tale stood out for some reason. Redd’s still active, and even treats himself to an “official” website.
