Borough Briggs is the home of Elgin City FC.
This is the reason we made the trip up north in April. I had never visited Borough Briggs. And the mighty Sons of the Rock had a game there.
(Of current SPFL grounds the only ones I still have to visit are St Mirren Park, Paisley (I was at St Mirren’s old ground in Love Street,) Victoria Park, Dingwall (Ross County) and Central Park (Kelty Hearts,) though there are some others I haven’t photographed since it was a long time ago.
During World War 2 a pillbox was built on the west terracing (called, I believe, the Bank.) See here. Those nefarious Germans could have attacked from anywhere after all. Sadly it was demolished as part of the conditions for Elgin joining the SFL, as it then was, in 2000.

I featured Forthbank Stadium, home of Stirling Albion FC, in 2011.
In March last year I took more pictures of which only the two below are substantially new.

I’ve posted Footy Adventures’s video of Dumbarton Football Stadium from Dumbarton Rock elsewhere.
Now, in another video (posted on 7/1/21) he took advantage of the club granting him access to the ground (well there was no-one else around) and he’s very enthusiastic about the place.
He waxes lyrical about the surroundings but bemoans the fact the fans can’t see the Rock when they’re seated in the stand.
However from the stand there is a very good view of the range of hills known locally as the Long Crags but whose formal name is I think the Kilpatrick Hills, which also overlook the town and are scenic in themselves.
Posting this means I probably don’t need to inflict my own photos of the Rock on you all.

Home of Dalbeattie Star F C, who currently ply their trade in the Scottish Lowland League.
The stadium lies to the side of Colliston Park, Dalbeattie.

The stadium was closed when I visited Dalbeattie so these views of the pitch are somewhat restricted being taken through or over the fence:-
