A Son of the Rock

Well, this result means any hope of finishing even in ninth place has gone. If we were to avoid relegation we simply had to beat the team we were most likely to catch. Instead we appear to have fallen apart and given them more leeway to us in terms of points.

With our goalkeeper and main defender suspended and our front two out through injury it was perhaps a tall order but losing five goals to the team which prior to the match were the lowest scorers in the division is beyond poor.

Let’s hope it was just a bad day at the office but any more like this and the players may well lose heart.
